The weather is very cold, cloudy and windy so these pics were taken through the window glass. The first one is two different angles of a Purple Finch.
This pic is even worse. It's a Red-bellied Woodpecker ( whose belly appears to be white but his head is red. Just sayin' )

we think a hawk got Nate's cat last year - I'm sure your visitor thinks your bird feeder is there so he can feed on birds
but man, are they cool
Beautiful bird, glad you got his picture, I have never seen one before. Been seeing the eagle fly over the lake about once a week but never have time to get my camera out. He doesn't stay long.
