Merry Christmas!
Even though I didn't have to deal with all the crazies this year since I'm working 3rd shift, I'm still glad it's almost over. I have to go in tonight at midnight. We have to mark all the clearance items down so when the crazy after-Christmas shoppers come in when the store re-opens in the morning, all the prices will be adjusted correctly. There's no way we'll get it all done, though. There's too much stuff and it's just not humanly possible.
From what I understand sales have been down quite a bit this season, which usually means a deeper cut in hours come January. I've already been told I'll be cut down to 24 hours per week (thanks to Obamacare) but the low sales will more than likely make that number even lower. Can't wait to retire in 2015.
