Calgon, take me away!

Sometimes life just stinks.

My car is out in the garage with the engine all torn apart. Dan's truck is acting up...will start sometimes and not others. He'd been messing with it for 2 days and it started up on the first try this morning. It seemed to be running pretty good, so we headed out to get parts to fix my car.

We had to stop for gas first. You're supposed to shut off the engine when you pump gas, right? So, he shut the truck off, pumped the gas, climbed back in and of course, it wouldn't start.

So now we're stuck at the gas station in another vehicle that won't run. After sitting there for about ½ an hour and trying over and over to start it, we finally decided to call a tow truck. By the time the guy got there we were both freezing. And, wouldn't you know it, about 2 hours after towing the pick-up home, Dan went out there, turned the key and the damn thing started right up!!!!

He didn't dare take it to get the parts for fear the same thing would happen and we'd end up being towed twice in one day. We had no way to get to the parts store so Dan called one of them that delivers to shops and asked if they deliver to private homes. They don't. We sat here for a while longer trying to figure out what to do.

Finally, Dan decided to give one of his friends a call. Jason would normally be working on a Tuesday but it just so happened that he was off today and he was kind enough to come get Dan and take him to get the parts for my car. He even stayed for a bit and helped.

As they were working on the car, Dan started getting sick. I told him he shouldn't be out in that cold air while sick so he decided to come in, warm up and take it easy. He's on the couch being kept warm by Shteve!

I hope it's not that nasty flu.

Oh no Hope, so sorry to hear that the car thing is still not fixed. Sure glad Jason was able to help Dan out.

Pray Dan is feeling better and it isn't the flu we had here. Take care.
