Woah...I'm still shaking!

I was sitting at my kitchen table organizing some paperwork and happened to glance outside at the many birds happily eating at the feeders. Suddenly, a hawk came roaring by like a bat outta you-know-where, causing all the birds to disperse...quickly!

You know I've been trying to get a picture of a hawk that I've seen several times. (I'm only assuming it's the same one.) But this was so fast and so unexpected. I have no idea if he captured one of my feathered friends but he sure tried.

I grabbed my camera and ran outside. He was in the lilac bushes along the property line but the sight of me scared him further away, up into the hickory tree out back. I managed to get this shot but you can barely see him.
