It's always my fault

Since the threat of a grievance being filed against my manager was lurking in the background, my schedule had been done according to seniority...until a couple weeks ago. I took some much needed time off to just get a break from the hellhole. While I was gone, they scheduled a person with less seniority earlier/longer shifts for two days. I wasn't there to see it and correct it, so I was stuck with the lousy shifts.

The next week they did it again. My manager had the day off so I went to her supervisor and asked for the earlier shift, which I was given. Problem is, she didn't change the shift of the person below me so we both came in at the same time, leaving 2nd shift one person short. That day was today and of course, because I had the gall to stand up for my rights, my manager blamed me for the mix-up.

It seems to me that if they would just do the schedule correctly in the first place, this wouldn't happen. I just don't understand what is so hard about following the contract and scheduling people with more seniority the earlier/longer shifts. What is it with these people? I never had this problem when I worked in Pet & Garden.

I hate that place.
