The hellhole has pulled a couple more rotten tricks out of their sleeves. A co-worker, who was a full-time, 1st shift stocker, was just demoted down to 2nd shift. Was it because she's a lousy worker? No, she's one of the hardest working people I know. The reason (according to management) there were too many people working days.
So, it is now Saturday morning and there is still unworked stock in our back room from last Saturday. I worked 2nd shift Thursday and mid-shift Friday. Second shift is supposed to focus on straightening and mid-shift on jewelry, customers and returns. Now, I'm not only expected to do those things, plus go up and run a lane any time they feel like putting me up there, I'm also supposed to pick up the slack of what my demoted co-worker used to do...stock!
They have also cut our hours. We can't get anything done so their solution is to cut our hours.
